About Attorney Lisa K. Rosenthal 

Lisa grew up in the Washington, D.C. area and has since adopted Maine as her home. She received her B.A. in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic in 2009 and M.T.S. in Religion, Ethics, and Politics from Harvard Divinity School in 2011. She then held various leadership roles within the nonprofit sector, including Deputy Director of Human and Civil Rights Organizations of America, Inc.


Legal Training and Academic Achievements

Lisa earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Maine School of Law in 2022. During law school, she served as Managing Editor of the Maine Law Review (Vol. 74) and co-chair of the Women’s Law Association. She was selected as the Susan Calkins Public Interest Fellow and honored with the Pro Bono Publico award for completing more than 100 hours of pro bono service. Lisa also received the Wernick Prize for Legal Writing for her publication on adult guardianship reform and the Family, Juvenile, and Elder Law Award for her achievements in family and elder law.


Professional Experience in Elder Law and Estate Planning

After law school, Lisa worked as a trusts and estates attorney at a firm in Bangor before joining Aging in Maine in 2025. She is admitted to practice before the Maine Bar and is an active member of the Maine State Bar Association, the Penobscot County Bar Association, and the John Waldo Ballou Inn of Court.
